After founding AMS in 2013 I have assembled a fantastic team of medics all with many years frontline Ambulance experience and they have embraced my ethos/vision for working on behalf of AMS as a medic in the industry:
- Professional and disciplined
- Available andd approachable
- Equipped and ready
- A team player
I truly believe Production should get value for money. An AMS medic is not only equipped and ready to operate in a medical capacity but they are willing, happy and able to assist crew and production within reason on set. This could be anything from moving the tea table and erecting E-ZE Ups to assisting the electrical department with a stand or the grip with a length of track, likewise we are always on hand to assist you with implementing your Health and Safety policy.
All medics working for AMS operate under our full corporate Medical Indemnity policy and our public liability policy
We are an established and reputable name within the industry.
If you are looking for value for Money and a medic who is a team player Then:
During the COVID19 crisis many of our Medics have worked on the frontline for NHS Ambulance Trusts implementing the current PHE/NHS Guidelines regarding IPC (Infection Prevention Control). We are therefore able to provide invaluable knowledge and experience, which we feel will be an asset to Production.
There has been a lot of hype and false information shared on Social Media and the News, both positive and negative, and at times it can be hard to discern the truth. In having an AMS Medic on your team armed with the knowledge and skills necessary to oversee safe working practices for Production Companies and their Cast and Crew, we will strive to bring a REASSURING presence on set so we can ALL get back to work feeling SAFE and POSITIVE.
The role of a “COVID Safety Officer/ supervisor” on set, is now a new requirement. We at AMS are happy to fulfill this role alongside our position as Medic as we feel we are best placed to do this, leaving Production, HOD’s and Crew free to focus on their relevant jobs.
We will carry out temperature checks of all Cast & Crew on arrival.
We predominantly use a forehead scanner but also carry an “in-ear” ( Tympanic ) thermometer which is possibly more accurate and is useful if there are any concerns with someone’s temperature reading.
We will oversee the distribution of PPE and ensure this is safe, appropriate and accompanied by the relevant and necessary advice to the user.
We will assist Production in overseeing correct implementation of PPE and H&S Guidelines and adherence to both Production and Department Risk Assessments during the Working day.
All AMS Medics have also completed a COVID19 Certified Course in IPC conducted by the W.H.O. (World Health Organization). If you have any queries regarding returning to work then please do not hesitate to get in touch.
